Business Networks and Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi designed from a survey rather than guesswork, on a network built by an engineer who has spent 20+ years running ISP and utility infrastructure.
We deploy and support Ubiquiti, Sophos
Bad Wi-Fi is rarely a Wi-Fi problem. It’s usually access points placed where there was already a cable, a single network carrying guests and staff and cameras together, or a consumer router doing a job it was never built for. Adding another access point to a bad design produces two problems instead of one.
What’s included
Wireless site survey
We measure coverage and interference on site before specifying anything. Access point placement decided from a floor plan is a guess.
Design and implementation
Ubiquiti UniFi networks specified, installed, and documented: switching, routing, and wireless as one design rather than parts bought separately.
Segmentation done properly
Separate networks for staff, guests, cameras, and point-of-sale, with rules that actually keep them apart.
Firewalls and edge
Perimeter equipment sized for your connection and configured for your actual traffic, not left on defaults.
Structured cabling
Runs pulled, terminated, and labeled. Some in-house, some by cabling partners on larger jobs. Either way we test every run ourselves after installation, including the subcontracted ones. Most 'network problems' we get called about turn out to be a cable somebody crimped in a hurry.
Wireless optimisation
Channel planning, power levels, and band steering tuned after installation, then reviewed, because the building next door changes their network too.
Who this is for
Offices, warehouses, retail floors, restaurants, and outdoor sites where coverage has to reach past the walls.
Questions we get
Straight answers. If yours isn’t here, ask and we’ll tell you honestly whether we’re the right fit.
Why is our Wi-Fi slow in one part of the building?
Usually one of three things: an access point too far from where people work, interference from a neighbouring network on the same channel, or a single access point being asked to cover an area that needs two. A survey answers it definitively in an hour, which is faster and cheaper than buying more equipment and hoping.
Do you do the cabling as well as the equipment?
Yes. Smaller jobs we pull ourselves; on larger installs we bring in a cabling partner. What doesn’t change is that we test every run after installation, our own and theirs, before it’s signed off. A network is only as reliable as the runs behind the wall, and a cable that’s nearly right causes intermittent faults far harder to diagnose than a cable that’s plainly broken.
Can you work with the equipment we already have?
Where it makes sense, yes. We’ll tell you what’s worth keeping, what is aging out, and what’s actively causing the problem you called about, and if your existing gear can be reconfigured rather than replaced, that is the cheaper answer and we’ll say so.
