A Lowcountry IT firm, run by an engineer
Founded in 2022 in Moncks Corner, to bring proper network engineering to businesses that could never justify hiring it full time. All 3 of us live in Moncks Corner and Summerville. This is our own back yard.
How we got here
Most small businesses in this area get their IT from one of two places: a national provider who dispatches whoever is nearest, or the person in the office who happens to be best with computers. Neither is anyone’s fault, and neither works well once a business depends on its systems to trade.
Kitts IT Solutions started in 2022 to be the third option. The bench behind it’s unusual for a firm this size: 75+ years in IT across three people, including fifteen years building and running Internet Service Provider networks and since 2018, managing network services for a power utility where an outage isn’t an inconvenience.
That’s why the network side of what we do goes deeper than most, and why we’re comfortable saying no to work that would not help. We would rather tell a business their setup is fine and stay on good terms than sell them something they didn’t need.
Today we look after businesses across the Charleston metro and Lowcountry: HVAC and landscaping contractors, manufacturers, veterinary practices, retailers, golf courses, accountants, and a handful of others who found us by word of mouth.
All 3 of us live in Moncks Corner and Summerville. That is worth saying plainly, because every national provider claims to be local and means a dispatch radius. When we say we’ll come out, we’re driving across the county we live in.

How we work
Tell people the truth about their setup
Including when the honest answer is that what they’ve is fine and they don’t need us yet. An assessment that always concludes with a purchase is a sales call wearing a lab coat.
Do the unglamorous part properly
Testing the cable run. Restoring from the backup to check it works. Reading the firewall rules nobody has looked at in three years. That’s where the failures live.
Be reachable
A small business calling its IT provider should get a person who knows their setup, not a queue position.
Leave clients able to leave
Documented systems, no artificial lock-in, and applications and data that belong to the client. Keeping customers who would rather go is not a business model.
Come and say hello
Twenty minutes on what you run and what keeps breaking. No pitch, no obligation.
